What is the Satmar Rav's source that state will not last?

What sorse dose the Satmer rav learn from that a non religious state would be built and then destroyed before the comming of Mashiach. 2 where can i buy the Ravs books in Jersualem

Dear Adam,

The Satmar Rav does not bring a source to say that there will be a state of any kind before the coming of mashiach. But in the Hakdama to Vayoel Moshe he brings a source (Sanhedrin 98a) to prove that if there will be a state, it will have to be gone before mashiach can come, and thus the state is preventing the coming of mashiach. The Talmud in Sanhedrin says, "The son of David will not come until the low kingdom is gone from Israel." Rashi says: "Until they do not have any kingdom at all, even a low and poor one." He concludes that we must pray that the end of the state should come in a peaceful way rather than through war.

You can go into any bookstore in Meah She'arim and ask for Vayoel Moshe or Al Hageulah V'al Hatemurah. There is also an abridged version called Likutim Amarim Vayoel Moshe. On our website you can download all the Rebbe's books:
