In reaction to Israeli PM Bibi Netanyahu’s plans to address a joint session of the House and Senate on March 3, without the blessings of the President or anyone in his administration – and all with the false claim that he speaks in our name, a step that may endanger Jews in America, True Torah Jews has launched a two week radio campaign on 770 WABC to condemn Netanyahu's chutzpah.

The text of the ad is as follows:

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has eagerly accepted an invitation to address the American Congress. Why would a foreign politician come to the US to provoke political controversy and damage the public image of American Jewry?

Netanyahu often claims to speak on behalf of the Jewish people. American Jews wish to repudiate his statements and remind the world of the existence of large Jewish communities whom Netanyahu and his State do not represent.

Mr. Netanyahu, you do NOT speak on our behalf. Our message is clear: The State of Israel cannot – and should not – claim to represent world Jewry. The Jewish People have already paid far too dearly for the Jewish identity theft committed by Israeli politicians.

The Torah commands Jews to be upstanding, law-abiding citizens who respect their country’s leaders. As American Jews, we pray for the wellbeing and prosperity of our homeland, the United States of America, as well as for the success and wellbeing of President Obama and his dedicated administration.
