Rabbi Yehuda Greenwald, Rav of Satmar, Hungary (1845-1920)

It should not occur to you that you, by human hands, can build the ruins of Jerusalem, and arouse the end of exile with great love of the Jewish people, to improve their state through this action, as the Zionists hold. Only Hashem is the healer of the broken-hearted and the bandager of their pains, and if Hashem does not build a house, its builders work in vain. (Zichron Yehuda 1:187)
